AI for beauty brands
AI beauty content,
true to every shade
We produce AI beauty content that stays true to the product: textures, swatches, packaging and visual worlds for fragrances, with shades checked across skin tones. Beauty lives on details that AI likes to invent: a cream that turns glossy, a lipstick one tone off, a bottle with a garbled label. Our job is to stop that from happening. DigitalX Studio is a Creative AI Agency based in Bergamo, Italy, working with beauty and fragrance brands including V2 Fragrance & Cosmetics.
In short
- Textures, swatches, packshots and editorial scenes for skincare, make-up and fragrance
- Shades checked against the real sample and shown across skin tones
- Images from €20 each, 50 images for €1,490, video from €500
- Delivered in 5-10 working days for images, 2-3 weeks for video
- No before/after: cosmetic claims belong to the brand, and we don't illustrate them as proof
The problem
Why beauty is the hardest
category for AI
A generative model can make a nice image of "a serum on a pink background". It doesn't know what your serum looks like: its viscosity, how clear it is, how the color shifts under warm light, the exact ridges on the cap. In beauty, those are the things a customer looks at before buying.
So we start from the physical product, not from a prompt. We need reference photos of the packaging, a real swatch shot in neutral light and, where it exists, the brand's color spec. Every generated image is checked against those references before it reaches you.
What we make
AI content for cosmetics
and fragrance brands
01
Textures and swatches
Creams, gels, powders, balms: texture in macro, with color matched to the real sample.
02
Shades across skin tones
Foundations, concealers and lipsticks shown on light, medium and deep skin, on invented virtual models.
03
Packshots and packaging
Clean bottles, jars and cartons for e-commerce and marketplaces. See AI packshot photography.
04
Fragrance worlds
You can't see a scent: we build the visual universe of its notes, materials and places.
05
Reels and product video
Drops, cream swirls, bottles in motion, for social and product pages.
Shades and skin tones
How we control
color and shade
| Risk | What uncontrolled AI does | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Shade drift | A "nude" lipstick turns pinker or more orange from one image to the next | Comparison with the real swatch and color correction in post |
| Flattened skin tones | Deep skin gets lightened, undertones get averaged out | Dedicated references for each skin tone and a specific review |
| Invented texture | A matte cream looks glossy, a gel turns milky | Macro reference of the real product and rejection of off images |
| Garbled packaging | Warped lettering, wrong caps, bottle proportions off | Label and logo rebuilt by hand or in CGI from the original file |
It's the same method we describe in product and packaging fidelity in AI images. For a product in several shades we work as we do for AI color variants: one approved scene, then every shade checked on its own.
Fragrance
Telling the story
of a fragrance with AI
In fragrance the product is almost always the same bottle while the story changes: the olfactory pyramid, a season, a place, a material. This is where AI pays off most, because it lets you build settings that would take days of set design: a citrus grove at dawn, wet woods, a beach in winter.
The bottle is always the real one. We treat it as an object to protect: glass, reflections and cap are checked and, when needed, rebuilt in 3D. For the wider trends, read AI in fragrance and AI in beauty and cosmetics.
Limits
Cosmetic claims and imagery:
what we don't do
We don't produce before/after images, skin "retouched by the product" or simulated results. A generated image is not evidence of efficacy, and in the EU cosmetic claims must meet common criteria such as truthfulness, evidential support and honesty (source EUR-Lex, Regulation (EU) 655/2013). Claims remain the brand's responsibility: we show the product, the texture and the mood, not the effect.
Models are invented people or consensual digital twins, and where required we label AI-generated content in line with the EU AI Act. More in labelling AI content.
When AI isn't the right choice
If you need to show what a product really does on skin, such as coverage, finish or a treatment, you need a shoot on real people with the product actually applied. The same goes for a real spokesperson's face. We can pair those photos with AI scenes, not replace them.
FAQ
Questions about
AI beauty content
How much do AI cosmetics product photos cost?
Product images start at €20 each and the price drops with volume: the 50-image e-commerce package is €1,490. A 15-20 second AI reel starts at €500.
Can AI match the exact color of a foundation or lipstick?
Not on its own: it tends to shift shades. That's why we work from real swatches shot in neutral light and color-correct in post, checking every shade before delivery.
Can you show the same product on different skin tones?
Yes. We use invented virtual models with different skin tones and undertones, and we check that deep skin isn't lightened or flattened, a common error in generative models.
Can you make before and after images with AI?
We don't make them. A generated result doesn't prove a product works, and cosmetic claims are the brand's responsibility to substantiate. We show texture, packaging and mood instead.
How do you photograph a perfume with AI?
The bottle stays the real one, checked for glass, reflections and cap; AI builds the world of its notes, seasons and places around it. Delivery takes 5-10 working days.
