Why packshots are
judged as a series
One packshot is easy. The hundredth is the hard one: when a catalog grows in batches, with different photographers, studios and seasons, the category page fills up with slightly different whites, tiny products next to huge ones, shadows falling right and then left.
With AI packshots we set the series rules first: light direction and softness, camera angle, margin around the product, shadow type. Then every SKU, new or old, is brought inside those rules. Even in-house shots, as long as they are sharp and complete, become packshots that line up with the rest of the catalog.

Limits
What we need
and where AI stops
To start, we need real photos of the product from every view you want on the page, sharp and evenly lit, plus the logo as a vector file and a color reference. We don't invent what the photos don't show: if the back is missing, the back needs to be photographed.
When AI packshots aren't the right choice
If you already run an in-house studio with a fixed packshot set and hundreds of items a week, automated traditional photography is often cheaper. The same goes for technical products where every detail is binding (engraved codes, measurement scales, spare parts): they need a real shot, cleaned up in post-production if necessary.

We deliver the main image on pure white RGB 255,255,255 with the product filling about 85% of the frame, as the Amazon guidelines state. Final approval is up to the platform.
What's the difference between background removal and an AI packshot?
Background removal only takes the background out of a photo. An AI packshot also rebuilds light, shadows, margins and perspective, so every SKU looks shot on the same set.
