The problem
Why images hold up
your Zalando uploads
Zalando is one of the strictest fashion marketplaces when it comes to images: a 1:1.44 portrait ratio, a minimum resolution, sRGB colour, and precise rules on which background the primary packshot and the catalogue view can use. An image outside the spec gets flagged and the product doesn't go live, or goes live looking worse than the competition.
For a brand with hundreds of SKUs per season the bottleneck isn't the catalogue, it's the shoot: models, studio, set days, retouching and reshoots for every late sample. With AI, images are produced in batches from photos of the real garments, already in the required format.

What we produce
Images for every
Zalando product page
01
Packshots on white
The garment on its own, front and back, clean cut-out.
02
On-model photos
The garment worn by an AI model, starting from flat lay or mannequin. See AI on-model photography.
03
Details and close-ups
Fabric, stitching, fastenings and logos, true to the real garment.
04
Colourways
Every colour of the same style with identical pose and light.
Consistency
The same model
across your whole range
On a marketplace, the category page shows dozens of products side by side: different models, lighting and poses make a brand look messy. With AI models we define one or more models for your brand and use them across the whole collection, with the same catalogue pose, light and crop.
Fabric, colour, fit and details are checked by hand against the source photos: it's the same process behind our AI fashion catalogs, explained in how to keep products true in AI images. If you also sell on other channels, the same images adapt to their formats: see AI e-commerce images.
What AI doesn't fix
Images must show the product the customer receives. If a garment changes colour, fabric or details in production, we need new reference photos. And final image approval stays with Zalando: we work to the published specs, we can't guarantee marketplace decisions.

FAQ
Questions about
Zalando product images
What size should Zalando images be?
Zalando asks for portrait images with a 1:1.44 ratio. The recommended size is 1801×2600 pixels and the minimum 762×1100 (1800×2600 for designer brands), as sRGB JPGs up to 20 MB. Use exact sizes, because the ratio check rounds values.
Does Zalando accept AI-generated images?
Zalando reviews images against its technical and content specs, which apply either way. Our images start from photos of the real garments and show the product the customer receives; before every season we check the latest guidelines on the partner portal.
What background does the primary packshot need?
The primary packshot must be on a white background. For the on-model catalogue view Zalando requires a background within its neutral grey and beige range; accepted coloured backgrounds are for additional views only.
How much do Zalando product images cost?
AI product images start at €20 per image and the price drops with volume. The 50-image e-commerce package costs €1,490. For a full season we quote on the number of SKUs and views.
How fast do you deliver?
In 5-10 working days for a standard batch, once the test on a few items is approved. We send an estimate within one working day of your request.
