AI product launch video

AI product launch video,
before the product exists

A product launch video has to be ready when the product often isn't: first units arrive late, samples aren't final, the shoot keeps slipping. With AI and CGI we start from CAD files, samples or renders and build the whole sequence, teaser, launch and post-launch, under confidentiality. DigitalX Studio produces it in Bergamo, Italy, for brands worldwide.

In short

  • A full sequence: teaser, launch video, post-launch content
  • We start from CAD, samples, prototypes or renders, no need to wait for production
  • Confidentiality on your materials, NDA on request
  • AI video from €850, with a 3D product from €1,200; sequences quoted per project
  • A schedule built backwards from launch day

Teaser, launch, post-launch:
a sequence, not a video

01

Teaser

Details, silhouette, light on the material: the product is hinted, not fully shown. Short vertical clips for the days before launch.

02

Launch video

The full reveal, 30-40 seconds, with a 16:9 or 9:16 master and crops for every channel. Same visual world as the teaser.

03

Post-launch

Product clips, color variants, in-use scenes and images for e-commerce and ads, when attention needs to turn into sales.

Everything comes from one creative direction, so teaser, launch and follow-up content look like one campaign. For product page content see AI product video and AI color variants.

From CAD, samples or renders
to a launch video

What you haveHow we use itWhat to keep in mind
CAD or 3D filesWe import the model into Blender, apply materials and lighting, and animate itThe most precise base for shape and proportions
Sample or prototypeWe photograph it or use your photos as reference for texture and colorDifferences from the final product must be flagged early
Existing rendersThey become references or keyframes for AI scenesViews from several angles are needed
Sketches onlyPossible for an evocative teaserThe reveal needs a three-dimensional reference

Either way the product is checked against the approved reference for shape, color, logo and label. More in product and packaging accuracy in AI images; for 3D models see AI CGI product renders.

Embargo and confidentiality
before launch

An unannounced product is sensitive information. CAD files and sample photos stay with our in-house team, previews are shared only with the people you name, and we can sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving any material.

Working digitally helps: no set, no external crew, no prototype shipped around. The number of people who see the product before launch stays minimal.

The fewer people see the product before launch, the lower the risk that someone else does the reveal for you.

The timeline,
backwards from launch day

-5/6 wks

Brief and materials

Launch date, channels, CAD or samples. A brief checklist helps you cover everything.

-4/5 wks

Concept and storyboard

You approve the visual world and the scenes for the whole sequence.

-2/4 wks

Production

3D product, AI scenes, editing and sound. Teaser first, then the launch video.

-1 wk

Review and delivery

Revision round, then masters and crops ready for scheduling.

A single video takes 2-3 weeks; a full sequence, with room for internal approvals, is best planned 5-6 weeks ahead.

When to wait
for the real product

If the product is still changing in substance, color, shape, finish, the video risks showing something that will never reach the shelf. Then it is better to lock the specs first, or limit yourself to a teaser that doesn't show the open details.

When an AI launch video isn't the right choice

If the launch rests on a real-world proof (a technical performance, a test, a demo), that must be filmed with the real product. And if the final product ends up different from the reference, the video must be updated before sales start: showing a product that differs from what customers receive is a problem, not a detail.

Questions about
product launch videos

Can you make a launch video before the product is finished?

Yes, starting from CAD files, samples, prototypes or renders. The product is rebuilt in 3D or with AI and checked against the approved reference for shape, color, logo and label.

How much does an AI product launch video cost?

A standard 30-40 second AI video starts at €850, one with a 3D product and CGI compositing at €1,200. A full sequence with teaser and post-launch content is quoted per project, with an estimate within one working day.

How far ahead should we start?

A single video takes 2-3 weeks. For a teaser, launch and post-launch sequence we recommend starting 5-6 weeks before launch day.

How is product confidentiality protected?

Materials stay with the in-house team, previews go only to the people you name, and we can sign an NDA. There is no set and no external crew.

What do you need for a product teaser video?

A reliable product reference (CAD, sample or render), the launch date and the channels. A teaser can show only details and silhouette, which helps when some specs aren't final yet.
