AI sportswear campaigns
AI sportswear campaigns,
action without the travel
Our AI sportswear campaigns take your gear to the mountains, the track, the sea or the gym without flying out a crew: action photos and video with technical fabrics, seams and logos checked against the real garment. Weather, season and location stop setting your calendar. DigitalX Studio is based in Bergamo, Italy, and works with sports and outdoor brands worldwide.
In short
- Mountains, track, sea, city: the right locations without travel
- Action photos and video with AI models, or real athletes where needed
- Technical fabrics, taped seams, reflective details checked on the garment
- Images from €20, reels from €500, video from €850
- Images in 5-10 working days, video in 2-3 weeks
The problem
Why sports campaigns
cost so much
An outdoor campaign needs the right place in the right season: real snow for the ski line, waves for surf, dawn light on a trail for running. That means travel, permits, guides, equipment and days waiting for the weather. And the winter collection often has to be shot in summer, when there's no snow.
With AI the locations are virtual and the launch sets the calendar, not the weather. The budget goes on the idea and the scenes, not on getting a crew up a mountain.
Environments
Where we take
your gear
01
Mountains and snow
Ski, mountaineering, hiking: ridges, huts, slopes at dawn, a controlled blizzard.
02
Track and road
Running and cycling: athletics tracks, city streets, climbs, gravel.
03
Sea and water
Surf, sailing, open-water swimming, with spray and sea light.
04
Gym and studio
Training, yoga, indoor sports, for e-commerce and social.
05
Stadium and pitch
Football and team sports, where fashion meets the fans. See the Pignatelli × FRMF case.
How we build virtual locations is explained in virtual locations for AI ads.
Technical
Technical fabrics
true to the real garment
| Detail | Typical AI mistake | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Fabrics and membranes | Smoothed surface, plastic look | Macro of the real fabric as reference |
| Taped seams and zips | Tape disappearing, invented zips | Compared with the garment, fixed by hand |
| Reflective details | Reflections in the wrong place | Position and shape taken from the real garment |
| Fit in motion | Garment warping unnaturally | Poses chosen to show the garment, not to impress |
| Logos and graphics | Logo rewritten or warped by movement | Logo applied from the original file |
The same images also feed your product pages: see AI on-model photography and, for the fashion side, our AI fashion agency.
Athletes
Real athletes
or AI models?
It depends on what the campaign needs to say. If the goal is to show the garment in action, an invented AI model works: no image-rights contract, available for every scene, consistent across the season.
If the campaign says "this athlete wears it", the athlete has to be real and on board. An endorsement from an invented or look-alike face is not an endorsement. In that case we suggest a hybrid: real footage of the athlete, even brief, plus AI scenes for settings and variants, or a digital twin created with their written consent.
For video, the choice of AI model matters: some handle fast motion better than others. We compare them in Runway vs Kling vs Sora, and every format is on AI video for brands.
When AI isn't the right choice for sportswear
An AI image doesn't prove performance. Waterproofing, breathability, insulation or protection must be communicated with real tests and certifications, not implied by a scene in the rain. And very fast technical moves, like a bicycle kick or a ski carve, can still give away their synthetic origin: we design them carefully or hand them to a real shoot.
FAQ
Questions about
AI sportswear campaigns
How much does an AI sportswear campaign cost?
Images start at €20 each and the 50-image package is €1,490. An action reel starts at €500, a 30-40 second video at €850 and a video with CGI at €1,200.
Can you shoot a snow campaign without going to the mountains?
Yes. We build the location with AI and place your real garments in it, even in midsummer. The winter collection no longer has to wait for snow.
Can AI render technical fabrics well?
Yes, when it starts from macros of the real fabric. We check membranes, taped seams, zips and reflective details in every image and fix by hand whatever doesn't match.
Can I use an AI athlete instead of a real ambassador?
To show the garment in action, yes, with an invented athlete. For an endorsement you need the real athlete, or a digital twin made with their written consent.
Can AI images show that a jacket is waterproof?
They can set the jacket in the rain, but they prove nothing. Performance must be communicated with the manufacturer's real tests and certifications.
