AI video localization
AI video localization,
one video for every market
AI video localization adapts a finished video to new languages and markets: a translated and adapted script, voice, lip-synced dubbing, subtitles and on-screen text. The result looks made for that country, not like an Italian video with subtitles bolted on. We clone a voice only with the person's written consent, and every version is checked by a native speaker.
In short
- One master, many languages: voice, lip-sync, subtitles and graphics
- Script adaptation, not word-for-word translation
- Voice cloning only with written consent
- Every version reviewed by a native speaker
- Quoted per project, estimate within 1 working day
What gets adapted
What changes in a
well-localized video
Translating the audio is only part of the job. A well-localized video changes everything the audience in that country sees and hears.
01
Script
Adapted, not translated: idioms, units of measure, cultural references and sentence length.
02
Voice
A synthetic voice chosen for the market, or the original voice cloned with the person's consent.
03
Lip-sync
Whoever speaks to camera gets their lip movement realigned to the new language.
04
Subtitles
For sound-off viewing, with timing and line length designed for vertical or horizontal formats.
05
On-screen text
Titles, claims, prices and calls to action rebuilt in the graphics, not patched over.
Options
Subtitles, voice-over
or AI dubbing
Not every video needs lip-sync. We pick the level based on who speaks, the channel and the budget.
| Level | What we do | When it makes sense |
|---|---|---|
| Subtitles | Translation, adaptation and subtitles; original audio | Sound-off social viewing, videos where faces matter little |
| AI voice-over | New off-screen voice, updated music and graphics | Product videos, ads with nobody on camera, tutorials |
| AI dubbing with lip-sync | New voice plus realigned lip movement for whoever speaks on camera | Presenters, founders, AI spokesperson videos |
If the video doesn't exist yet, it pays to design it with the languages in mind: less text burned into the image, shots that hold up to lip-sync, pauses where other languages run longer. We do this in every AI video for brands.
Process
How AI video
localization works
01
Master and languages
You send the video, project files if you have them, and the list of markets.
02
Adaptation
Script translated and adapted, with the product and brand terms that must not change.
03
Voice and lip-sync
We generate the voice, realign lip movement where needed and check every line.
04
Graphics and subtitles
On-screen text rebuilt, subtitles, audio mix in DaVinci Resolve.
05
Native-speaker check
A native speaker reviews text, pronunciation and tone before delivery.
Rules
Voice, consent
and human review
Cloning a voice means using something personal to someone. We only do it with the person's written consent and an agreement that sets out languages, uses and duration. Without consent we use a synthetic voice or a voice actor. The legal picture is in our guide to labelling AI content.
The native-speaker check isn't optional. AI voices get stress, proper names and numbers wrong in ways that non-speakers simply don't hear. Claims, disclaimers and mandatory information for each market remain the brand's responsibility: we put them in exactly as supplied.
When you need real voice talent
For an emotional brand film, a flagship TV commercial, a script built on humor or wordplay, or a market used to top-tier dubbing, a professional voice actor will outperform an AI voice. We'll tell you so, and we can bring their recording into our edit.
FAQ
Questions about
AI video localization
How do you translate a video into another language with AI?
The script is adapted, a new voice is generated, lip movement is realigned if someone speaks to camera, and subtitles and on-screen text are rebuilt. A native speaker reviews everything before delivery.
Can AI dubbing keep the speaker's original voice?
Yes, by cloning the voice, but only with the person's written consent and an agreement on languages, uses and duration. Otherwise we use a synthetic voice chosen for the market.
How much does AI video localization cost?
It's quoted per project: it depends on length, number of languages, whether lip-sync is needed and how much on-screen text there is. You get an estimate within one working day.
Subtitles or AI dubbing: which is better?
Subtitles are enough for a lot of social content watched with the sound off. Lip-synced dubbing is for when someone speaks on camera and needs to look like they really speak that language.
Can you localize videos you didn't produce?
Yes. We work from the final master and, if available, the project files, which let us rebuild the graphics more cleanly.
