Feeds and catalog ads
AI catalog ad images,
compliant and ready to test
We make AI catalog ad images: the images that sit in your product feed and become ads on Google Shopping and in Meta Advantage+ catalog ads. In a catalog the image is the ad: no copy saves it if it's weak or gets rejected. We deliver a main image that meets each platform's rules plus variants for testing, all true to the real product.
In short
- Compliant main image for Google Merchant Center and Meta
- Lifestyle and seasonal variants for creative tests
- One product variant per image, one image per variant
- From €20 per image, price falls with volume
- Delivered in 5-10 working days, files named by SKU
The point
In catalog ads
the image is the ad
In catalog ads the platform decides the format: it takes the image from the feed, adds title and price and serves it. The brand controls one creative lever, the image. If it's dark, small, with the product lost in the scene or non-compliant, the ad underperforms or doesn't run at all.
The second problem is scale: a 300-SKU catalog with supplier photos, mixed backgrounds and random crops can't be fixed by hand one by one. That's where a controlled AI workflow pays off most: one standard across the whole feed, plus extra variants for anyone who wants to test.

image requirements
| Rule | What Google asks | What it means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| No promotional overlays | A clean, unobstructed view of the item, with no CTAs, prices, shipping or promotional adjectives | The "-30%" doesn't go on the main image |
| No added graphics | No watermarks, added logos or store names, borders, barcodes or QR codes | A logo is fine only if it's physically part of the product |
| One variant per image | No multiple products or colourways in one image; a unique image for each variant | You need a file for every colour you sell |
| Framing | The product fills between 75% and 90% of the image | Neither tiny in the middle nor cut off at the edges |
| Size | At least 500×500 px (required for all products from 31 January 2027); 1500×1500 px or larger recommended | We export above the recommended threshold |
| Files | Max 64 megapixels and 16 MB; JPEG, WebP, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF | File extension matching the actual format |
Requirements from Google's official image_link attribute page, checked in October 2026 (Google Merchant Center source). Context images go in their own attributes: additional_image_link for angles and details, lifestyle_image_link for in-use scenes.
Meta
Images for Meta
Advantage+ catalog ads
Meta displays catalog images as squares (1:1) in carousel and collection ads, with a 500×500 px minimum and 1024×1024 px recommended; single image ads use a 1.91:1 ratio, with 1200×628 px recommended. Files must be JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB and accurately show the product for sale (Meta source).
If you want brand or promotional elements around the product, Meta offers frames applied at ad level (Meta source): the feed image stays clean and the graphics change without reshooting. For other ad formats and crops see video ad formats.
Variants to test
More variants, same product:
what's worth testing
01
Clean main image
The product alone, compliant, well framed. The base of the whole feed. See AI packshot photography.
02
Lifestyle
The product in use, for lifestyle attributes and Meta tests. See AI lifestyle product photography.
03
Alternative backgrounds
White, brand colour, a textured surface: same product, different attention in the feed.
| Option | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Per image | Fixing your best-performing SKUs | from €20 per image |
| 50-image package | Top catalog lines, main image + variants | €1,490 |
| Subscription | Seasonal refreshes and ongoing tests | from €990/month |
For large catalogs the per-image price falls with volume. The core service is AI e-commerce images.
Limits
What AI doesn't fix
in a feed
In a feed the image must show exactly the variant being sold. So every file is compared with the real product: shape, colour, logo, label. A wrong colour on Shopping isn't just one more return: it's an ad promising a different product. The method is in how to keep products true in AI images.
When images aren't the problem
If products are disapproved for GTINs, prices, availability or categories, new images change nothing: the feed needs fixing. And no image guarantees approval or performance, which depend on the platforms. We make images compliant and testable.
FAQ
Questions about
catalog ad images
What are the image requirements for Google Shopping?
Google asks for a clean view of the product with no promotional overlays, watermarks, added logos or borders, one variant per image and the product filling 75-90% of the frame. The minimum is 500×500 pixels, with 1500×1500 or larger recommended.
Can I put a discount on my feed image?
Not on the main image for Google: Merchant Center rules exclude promotional overlays, prices and CTAs. On Meta it's better to use ad-level frames and keep the catalog image clean.
What image size do Advantage+ catalog ads need?
Meta displays catalog images at 1:1 in carousels, with a 500×500 pixel minimum and 1024×1024 recommended. Single image ads use 1.91:1, with 1200×628 recommended. JPEG or PNG files up to 8 MB.
Can I use lifestyle images in a product feed?
Yes, as additional images: Google provides the additional_image_link and lifestyle_image_link attributes. The main image should remain a clean view of the product.
How much do catalog ad images cost?
From €20 per image, with the price falling as volume grows; the 50-image package costs €1,490. Delivery takes 5-10 working days, with files named by SKU.
