Luxury fashion marketplaces

Luxury marketplace images,
consistent every season

We produce luxury marketplace images for Farfetch, YOOX, Mytheresa, Zalando and similar platforms with one clear goal: every piece should look like the same brand, the same season and the same standard, even across hundreds of SKUs. We start from the real garments, adapt the images to each platform's guidelines and deliver in batches. DigitalX Studio is based in Bergamo, Italy, and works with fashion and luxury brands worldwide.

In short

  • Packshots, on-model, details and colour variants for multi-brand marketplaces
  • One visual direction, separate exports for each platform's guidelines
  • From €20 per image, 50-image package at €1,490
  • Delivered in 5-10 working days per batch
  • Colour, fabric, stitching and hardware checked against the real piece

On a marketplace your piece
sits next to a hundred others

On a multi-brand marketplace the customer doesn't see your boutique: they see a grid. Your coat sits between another brand's coat and a third brand's bag, in the same layout and under the same light the platform imposes. In that context the luxury standard doesn't come from the set: it comes from consistency. Same model, same colour rendering, same crop, season after season.

The problem comes with volume. A drop of 80 SKUs shot on three different days, by two studios under different light, shows immediately in the grid. That's where a premium brand starts to look like everyone else.

On a multi-brand marketplace, the luxury standard is consistency across a hundred images, not perfection in one.

One master, several marketplaces:
what changes between them

Every marketplace has its own guidelines, often shared only with partners: aspect ratio, background colour, required views, model crop, file weight. We don't guess them: we work from the guidelines you or your platform contact send us, and build a checklist per channel. Where the rules are public, as with Zalando, we sum them up in dedicated guides: see the Zalando image requirements.

What variesWhy it mattersHow we handle it
Ratio and cropA file in the wrong ratio gets cropped badly or rejectedComposition with margin, exact exports per platform
BackgroundWhite, grey or accepted neutrals vary by channelThe background is swapped without regenerating the piece
Required viewsFront, back, detail, on-model: depends on the categoryShot list per category agreed before production
Model cropSome grids crop the face, others show full lengthPoses designed to work in both crops
FilesDifferent sizes, formats and colour profilesHigh-resolution masters, dedicated exports

The result is one set of masters per season and as many exports as there are platforms. If you also sell on your own store, the same masters work there: see AI e-commerce images.

What makes an image
genuinely luxury

In luxury, mistakes cost more. A camel tone that's slightly off, an invented seam, a buckle logo that's a little warped: the customer notices, often at the return. So every image is checked against the real piece before delivery, and whatever AI doesn't render precisely gets fixed by hand. The method is in how to keep products true in AI images; the sector view in AI in fashion and luxury.

The model is an invented person, not someone's face, and where required we label generated content in line with the EU AI Act transparency rules. Before uploading, also check whether the platform has specific guidance on generated images.

When we're not the right choice

If your agreement with the platform has them photograph the pieces, there's no point producing the product page images: we can work on your own channels instead. And for pieces with extreme materials, dense sequins, sheer lace on skin, raised embroidery, a real shot is sometimes more accurate: we'll tell you before we start.

Questions about
luxury marketplace images

What images do I need to sell on Farfetch, YOOX or Mytheresa?

Usually packshots, on-model views, material details and colour variants, but ratio, background and required views are set by each platform in its partner guidelines. We start from the guidelines the platform gives you and build a checklist per channel.

Can I use the same photos on several marketplaces?

Yes, starting from one set of masters per season. From there we export versions with different ratios, backgrounds and crops for each platform, without regenerating the piece.

Are AI images right for a luxury brand?

Yes, if they start from the real piece and are checked for colour, fabric, stitching and hardware. For a few very complex materials a real shot can remain the more accurate choice, and we say so before starting.

How much do images for a fashion marketplace cost?

From €20 per image, with the price falling as volume grows. The 50-image package costs €1,490; for full collections we send an estimate within one working day.

How long does a season take?

Each batch takes 5-10 working days from the approved standard, compared with the typical 2-4 weeks of a traditional shoot. Large collections are split into several batches.
